Between Brighton and Switzerland we managed a quick drop in on some old friends from Singapore, who again we hadn't seen for years! It was excellent to catch up and meet their son Jack, who had also just celebrated a birthday, a few snags on the barbie, a game of football, a glass of bubbles with some minecraft birthday cake, then of course a bundle, was the perfect way to catch up! Thanks guys, was so great to see you and can't wait till the next time!

Again the stairs were steep and narrow and a slow climb, but amazingly we were the only ones doing this climb too and the views were breathtaking and totally worth it.
This day will live on in our memories as 'The Day of Transport'.
It started with a train, then onto a bus, followed by a cable car, then a toboggan run and a gondola, which got us to the top of the mountain. From the peak we took the world's steepest cog rail train all the way back down the other side of the mountain, where we boarded the ferry and chugged our way across lake Lucerne for 1.5 hours back to the city to catch the train again to get us home!
Phew.
She met us from the train station and took us to a nearby park, the kids got to run around and the adults had a chance to catch up on old times over a coffee, so everybody was happy. Then, as our unofficial tour guide Yolanda walked us though the old town and out to the front of the Opera house for a photo op, she then walked us to a great restaurant serving awesome rosti and sausages before heading back to meet her kids from school, thanks Yollie, it was so good to see you again!
