Kaitlyn's Blog.
I am Kaitlyn, I am 8 and I live in Thailand. It is a wonderful place to live. I live with my family in a two story house. I have two sisters and one brother. I am the oldest. My brother and sister are twins (we were not expecting that). I have experienced the beauty of cities (I used to live in one, Singapore) but it got too expensive. My parents bought a house here in Thailand, when I was a baby but we only used the house for holidays. So we thought we should move into our house in Samui. So we began our journey to a new life.

My trip to the city of Angkor
The Bayon
The first temple we went to see was the Bayon. People say that those faces on the top are looking out for evil spirits and you! I felt really tired after a little while because there was lots of climbing up stairs and jumping down from things. On the the front gate to the city, there was this monkey at the back of the tuk tuk and when we came out he came out and attacked my brother and then it went to attack my sister but we managed to scare it away. After all that commotion we came across a bridge like this(scroll down) And they say that the heads that were stolen on the statue was from people. The people take them to Bangkok and sell the them to tourists for a lot of money. Heres some pictures of inside(scroll down)
These stone people had there heads cut off!
My favorite bit!
Cambodian dancers!
Angkor Wat
When we pulled up to get out of the tuk tuk It was so beautiful.
My favorite temple is this one! Look at the reflection!
I loved the bits were there was door ways everywhere because it looked like a room full of mirrors.!
There is a story to be told on these walls!
Have you ever herd of Minecraft? if you haven't it's basically a game were you can do anything you want and just build. It's a world made out of blocks. What I am building right now is these temples I've been in Cambodia . And they look great!
The temple with the tree
I guess that a bird was flying over the temple with a seed then it dropped the seed an the seed grew into a tree!
My Dads favorite temple is the tree one!
The lady temple
Your not allowed inside the building because it is very unstable and most likely to fall down. But what you are allowed to do is look at the beautiful carvings! I was amazed by the very very very very beautiful carvings! There was no shade so it was very hot.
Bathon
This temple has lots climbing involved so children under the age of 12 is not allowed to go in it so we had to sit and wait while mum and dad took turns to explore it. While mum was exploring it, these chinese people come round and said''Excuse me mister can I take a photo with your kids?'' He said it was fine. So it all went well and every thing went smooth until unties came along and they were taking photos too and we all had enough. So my dad said ''thats enough'' so the lady said sorry and went of laughing. WHATS WITH THESE CHINESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!! there is a 2000 year old monument out there and all the things that they are doing is taking photos of kids they barely know!!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed, I had fun and also didn't have fun. It was hot and not relaxing. But it did make me see that it was……..…AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My trip to Ko Tao
Ko Tao actually means turtle island. So we went to turtle island on the Lomprayah high speed ferrie. It took 2hrs. We sat at the bottom while sophia and daddy sat on the second floor. Then we went to the top of the boat. it was very windy. When we got there we went straight to Ko Tao Diving Resort (our hotel we stayed in). The room there was very small. After we settled down, we went swimming in the swimming pool. After a while we went for lunch at A restaurant called Tukta. We ate fried rice with chicken. Then we came back to the resort and I swam while the rest like Mummy, Sophia and the twins went to have a nap. I had lots of fun in the swimming pool !!!!!!!!!! Me and daddy finally came back to the room and got changed to go for dinner. Before we went for dinner, we went for a drink at a bar and restaurant called FIZZ. We played with the people that worked there. Then we went to a restaurant called the Gallery. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This very kind guy called chris is a photographer and he owns the restaurant. I wanted to set up a restaurant and be a photographer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we had a lovely dinner there and we looked at all the great photos that he took. Then we went back to the resort and went to bed. The next day we went to out look beach. To get there is very cool you have to go down hills and the very steep ones went very fast. When we got there we went snorkeling and went in a kiak. We went in the kiak and rowed along all the coral reefs. Then when we were coming back someone got stang by a sting ray and there was blood all over his foot. After all that we went snorkeling (not in the reefs because we didn't want to get stang by a sting ray. So we just swam around a rock were there was lots of fishes. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then sadly it was time to get on the boat back to koh samui
BUT I HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
