We returned to the Uk from Croatia for a whirlwind week, spent between family and friends, with visits between Essex and Suffolk. There were more birthday celebrations too, one for Nanny Mo, (age omitted) and a 30th for Keely! A fake christmas and a pre - emptive 5th November bonfire pretty much dotted the i's and crossed the t's of events to celebrate! We also managed to get to a food festival which was really cool, loads of local producers were selling their goodies, including our new found friends Jason and Catherine who had shown us first hand how they milked the cows and then made the cheese at their farm, it was a beautiful hot sunny day and fun was had by all!

The flight to Dubai was smooth sailing, Emirates are an excellent airline and it was really quite nice to be off of the budget carriers. Seven hours of TV and electronics seemed to whizz by and somehow the flight was way less tiring and stressful than the 1.5 hour flights into Europe had been!

We reached our house in Dubai and were greeted by Fe who 'runs' the home for the owners whilst they travel, and their kitten 'cheeky' Jasmine!

Dubai is best described as a cross between Singapore, with it's gleaming new towering sky scrapers and at times unbearable heat and America, with sweeping wide 6 lane highways, huge strip malls and massive hotels lining the roads.

The feats of engineering are outrageously impressive, the Burj Khalifa, The Burj Al arab, and the Cayan Tower, are to name but just a few, the Palm Island is also a man made marvel!
